Extreme Heat Shelter
A Temporary Cooling Center is set up on days where the National Weather Services designates “Extreme Heat” advisories.
This means:
Temperatures in excess of 95 degrees
It is advised to during this to:
Stay in air-conditioning, if possible
Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing
Take frequent breaks
Drink plenty of fluids
On Extreme Heat days, HELP opens a cooling center to ensure that our homeless brothers & sisters are:
hydrated
safe
cool
